Resources for families

Resources for parents and caregivers

The Brock Learning Lab’s educational team has curated cross-curricular online resources for parents to use at home with their children. When using any online resources users should always consider privacy and digital citizenship and be cautious of providing personal information online. The grade levels are suggested based on a variety of criteria, however, we encourage parents to explore the app first before using it with their child. Get the Online Learning Toolkit here.

We also have the Brock Learning Lab Parent Repository which is a website to help parents find learning activities to enhance and consolidate key literacy skills. Each section includes resources and tools organized by literacy skills such as reading, writing, and media Literacy for the Primary, Junior, and Intermediate grades.

We have a webinar series for families that address topics such as:

  • How to Efficiently Manage Learning at Home
  • Student Safety
  • Critical Literacy
  • Developing a Positive Mindset
  • Transitioning Back to School
