Killam Fellowships Program

Description

The Killam Fellowships Program is designed for students wishing to participate in an exchange or study abroad to the United States. Successfully recipients of the Killam Fellowships Program award will receive $5,000 US per semester award, along with other programming and awards.

Eligibility

Brock Requirements

  • Minimum overall average of 80%
  • Must be a Brock undergraduate student currently enrolled in classes
  • Must have completed a minimum of 5.0 Brock credits prior to the anticipated start date of the Killam Fellowships Program

Killam Fellowships Program Requirements

  • At time of application, student must be:
    • A Canadian citizen,
    • A currently enrolled full-time undergraduate student in good standing.
    • Expected to be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student during the 2024-25 academic year.
    • Meet the eligibility requirements and regulations of the Brock exchange program,
    • Proficient in English and/or French
    • In possession of a strong academic record, and
    • Able to complete all steps of the application process prior to the published deadlines

Application Instructions

Direct Exchange Program

If you meet the Brock exchange requirements, you are eligible to apply for the Direct Exchange Program, which allows you to pay Brock tuition while attending one of the Killam Fellowships Program’s American Partners. Applicants must submit the following to be considered:

  1. Brock University International Exchange Application

    • Ensure to follow application instructions and requirements outlined here.
    • Once ready, submit an application to Brock here.
    • Applications must be completed on or before January 5th, 2024.
  2. Killam application package.
    • Review the application instructions carefully before beginning the application.
    • Once ready, submit an application directly to Killam here .
    • Applications must be completed on or before January 5th, 2024.

Open Competition

You are also eligible to apply for the open competition if you are applying to any degree-granting institution in the United States. Unlike exchange, selected students are responsible for paying any required tuition at their host university but can use the funds from the Killam Fellowship to help cover the costs.

The deadline to apply for the Open Competition is January 31, 2024.

  2. Complete and submit a Killam Application directly to the Killam Fellowships.
