The Supervisor assumes primary responsibility for the student’s thesis work and guide them through the PhD process at Brock University.

The student has the right to expect expertise and accessibility from the supervisor. It is reasonable for students to expect that the supervisor offers assistance with the following:

• The design, planning, and conduct of feasible research projects
• Introduce the student to the network of scholars or scholarly work in the area of specialization
• Encourage and support scholarship and fellowship applications
• Encourage conference attendance
• Provide support for the presentation and publication of the research results
