Dean’s Conference Travel Grant

Full-time faculty members in the Faculty of Humanities may apply for a conference travel grant of up to $750.00 per fiscal year (May 1 to April 30). This is in fulfillment of the Faculty’s obligation under Appendix C of the Collective Agreement between Brock University and the Brock University Faculty Association (BUFA) — July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2020.

Application requirements:

  1. Documentation verifying acceptance of a paper or participation on a panel (send to Dean’s Office). Faculty members may apply in advance of having received acceptance, but travel grants will be withheld until written confirmation of acceptance;
  2. An abstract of the paper (approximately 250 words);
  3. A brief report on the most recent conference travel funded by a Dean’s Conference Travel Grant;
  4. A budget.

Upon return from the conference, faculty members must submit a travel expense report with receipts. For information on Brock’s policies and procedures for travel and related expenses, please visit the following links:
