Sexual Violence Prevention Committee

Brock University continues to be committed to fostering a safe campus for students, staff and faculty. To that end, Brock University has convened an advisory committee for the purpose of identifying and recommending strategies to improve Brock’s policies, and processes in relation to sexual violence awareness, prevention and response.

The Brock University Sexual Violence Prevention Committee is open to members of the Brock community who are interested in joining this endeavour.  This committee meets six to eight weeks and reports to the President via the President’s Advisory Committee on Human Rights, Equity, and Decolonization.

If you would like to participate, please contact the Chair, Margot Francis at mfrancis@brocku.ca for meeting dates and times.

Brock’s Sexual Violence Prevention Committee recognizes that the strengths of our members are varied, and our collective focus on ending campus sexual violence is steered by multiple initiatives. For these reasons, the Sexual Violence Prevention Committee has developed four sub-committees that convene at different times during the month. As a member of the Sexual Violence Prevention Committee, you are invited to take part in one or more of the sub-committees that are most meaningful to you:

  • Education Working
  • Student Policy Consultation
  • Research & Funding
  • Services & Supports
