The BUSU Food First program is a service aimed to address the growing issues of food and health insecurity among Canadian post-secondary students. The program provides support to students in need with a local grocery store gift card.
Their goal is to support and foster independence in students with accessibility needs; advocate for accessibility for students; and provide resources and education opportunities for staff and faculty to ensure a welcoming environment for all.
A safe space on campus for students to convene, offers confidential and non-judgmental support, advocacy, and referrals to students experiencing any form of discrimination, prejudice, harassment, or sexual violence.
