Meet Andie Nero!

Andie joined the Faculty of Graduate Studies at Brock this past summer after completing her Master of Social Work at the University of Calgary. She also completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Mount Allison University. Although she attended schools on both sides of the country, she is an Ontario native, born and raised in Oakville. As a recent graduate student herself, Andie has an appreciation for the unique challenges and needs of graduate students, and is thrilled to have the opportunity to bring this perspective to her work at Brock.

Andie wants to work collaboratively with graduate students to address their concerns and reach their goals, while utilizing their unique strengths and knowledge, and respecting their right to self-determination. She is always willing to act as a sounding-board and work through issues together. In addition, Andie believes in ensuring students have all the necessary tools and information to make informed decisions about their graduate careers.

Outside of her work, Andie is a plant mom who loves cuddling with cats, drinking lattes, eating pasta, and playing Harvest Moon.

Andie can be found in Mackenzie Chown D259 for one-on-one consultations. She is also accessible by email, phone, Skype, and Lifesize. She looks forward to hearing from you!
