Steps to Accessing CV Templates
- Login to CareerZone using your campus ID and password: careerzone.brocku.ca
- Click on the ‘Career Education’ menu item in the left-hand navigation
- Click ‘Online Resource Centre’ and then ‘Cover Letters, Resumes, CVs & Letters of Intent’
The financial assistance provided by donor awards makes a world of difference to graduate students. This letter is an opportunity to let donors know their support is valued and appreciated, and provides them with an opportunity to feel involved in the lives of the students they support. It is also an opportunity for you to express your gratitude and say thank you in your own words. When you receive notification of your award, please take a few minutes to say thanks to the generous donors who have invested in your success.
How to submit a letter
Information regarding the donor has been included with your award notification. If there are multiple donors listed, you will need to write and submit a thank you letter for each person separately. When you have completed your letter, please email it as an attachment to graduatestudies@brocku.ca and we will take care of forwarding the letter to the donors on your behalf.

Your letter should consist of two paragraphs:
- Thank the donor(s) for the specific award you received.
- Tell the donor about yourself, your hometown, family background and other experiences that led to your choice to study your program at Brock.
- Describe how the award has made a difference to you being able to start or continue your University education or how their support has assisted you in achieving academic and other life goals.
- Tell the donor about your best experience(s) at Brock.
- Commit to do well with the donor’s investment.
