TEMPORARY CHANGES TO ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY TESTS:
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Brock has temporarily allowed Graduate programs to consider alternate English Proficiency Test (EPT) scores.
On a pilot basis only for Fall 2021-2022 Spring/Summer, Fall and 2022 Winter entry points, the following alternate EPT tests may be used:
- Cambridge – C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency with a minimum overall score of 180 with at least 170 in each component
- Duolingo – Score of 115
AVERAGE CALCULATION WITH CREDIT/NO CREDIT NOTATIONS ON TRANSCRIPTS
If you are intending to apply to either graduate school or a professional program, where numeric grades are factored into acceptances and entrance award decisions, the credit/no credit notations will not be used in your average. Please consult with your Graduate Program Director, supervisor, or departmental advisor to assist you with making a decision that will best support your future goals.
