OpenCon 2018: Empowering the Next Generation to Advance Open Access, Open Education and Open Data

Are you a graduate student interested in learning more about Open Access, Open Education and Open Data? Would you like to take part in an international conference (Toronto, Nov. 2-4) and community dedicated to advancing all things open?

One Brock Library OpenCon Scholarship will be awarded to cover the cost of conference registration, accommodation and transportation to Toronto. In return, we’ll ask the selected recipient to share the knowledge they gain at OpenCon with the Brock community through activities such as providing a brief report and participating in open-oriented outreach on campus.

The scholarship is open to graduate students – Master’s or Doctoral – currently registered at Brock. Apply by completing this form before the deadline of August 22 at 12 pm. The Library is offering this scholarship to support professional development for Brock graduate students and to reflect its commitment to transforming the mechanisms of scholarly communication.
