The next opt-in and opt-out period is open from September 1 to 30, 2020.
Full-time domestic students, and all International students are automatically billed for the plans on their tuition in the fall term. Part-time domestic, and students who want to add family, can opt-in. Opt-ins are available online until September 30, 2020. Cut-off dates are final.
Students with proof of alternate Canadian health & dental coverage (spouse, self or parents) may opt-out of the plan. The GSA will not directly reimburse graduate students; their Brock accounts will be credited. To opt-out online go to the Student VIP site. The September 30th deadline is firm. UHIP is not considered alternate coverage.
Health and dental coverage is effective from September 1st to August 31st of the following year. Check your tuition billing to determine if you have been assessed the GSA Health and Dental fee. Details of the plans can be found at www.studentvip.ca/brockgsa . You can print a copy of your benefit card there and set-up your Medavie Blue Cross account.
