Ned Goodman is president and founder of wealth management company Dundee Corporation, and chairman and CEO of Ned Goodman Investment Counsel Ltd.
Goodman’s investment experience spans more than 40 years as a securities analyst, portfolio manager and senior executive, and he has established a reputation as one of Canada’s most successful investment counsellors.
He contributes widely to community-building as a governor of Junior Achievement of Canada, a vice-chair of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, and a member of the Toronto Society of Financial Analysts and the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. He is a founding director of the Roasters Foundation, the Goodman Family Foundation and the Dynamic Fund Foundation.
Goodman served as Chancellor of Brock University from 2007 to 2015.
In 2012, the Goodman Family Foundation donated a transformational gift to the School, resulting in the naming of the Goodman School of Business.
In 2016, he was appointed into the Order of Canada for his contributions to Canada’s investment industry and philanthropic work.
He hold a BSc in geology from McGill University and MBA from the University of Toronto, as well as the CFA designation. He was awarded Doctorate of Laws by Concordia University in 1997 and an honorary doctorate from Brock University in 2015.
