Are you a new entrepreneur? Do you have an idea that would make a great business? Are you looking for help taking your business idea to the next level?
The Kick-Starting Entrepreneurship program targets Niagara’s entrepreneurs and encourages them to explore their innovative ideas and advance their early-stage entrepreneurial aspirations. Cohort 7 of the program will be delivered in collaboration with Brock LINC and will provide up to 35 youth with seminars and events, plus mentorship and advisory services from Venture Development. Applications are now CLOSED.
The Kick-Starting Entrepreneurship program is designed to help young entrepreneurs explore their business ideas and advance their early stage entrepreneurial aspirations. The program provides youth with free access to the following:
- Connections to the right resources.
- Training events and seminars to develop your skills and knowledge about entrepreneurship.
- Mentorship and advisory services.
- Meet and network with other entrepreneurs.
This upcoming Winter cohort, delivered in collaboration with Brock LINC, will take place fully online, with synchronous, instructor led workshops and seminars. All workshops and events will take place on Thursdays from 1:00-5:00pm. The program will run from January 3 – April 20, 2021. The Kick-Starting Entrepreneurship program will leverage the expertise, programs and services at Brock University and within Niagara’s entrepreneurial ecosystem to provide aspiring youth entrepreneurs with these activities, training and resources that will help them experience entrepreneurship. Youth that are a part of this program will also have regular meetings with the Venture Development staff to work on their action plan and determine the next steps they need to take for their business to grow.

The Kick-Starting Entrepreneurship program will take place from January 3 – April 20 , 2021. There will be 2 workshops, seminars and events planned each month and all events will take place on Thursdays from 1:00-5:00pm. All events will take place virtually, online and will be synchronous, instructor led. A schedule of events will be provided to entrepreneurs upon acceptance into the program. If you are applying for the KSE program please ensure that you are available on Thursday afternoons to attend the events.
