High School Entrepreneurship Co-op

What is High School Entrepreneurship Coop?

Students in Grade 11 and 12 in the Niagara region have the opportunity to apply for the Entrepreneurship – Cooperative Education experience through the Cooperative Education Department and Venture Development at Brock University. The goal of this experience is to allow students to have the opportunity to explore entrepreneurship as a potential career path by allowing them to learn from entrepreneurs, explore the entrepreneurship development cycle and to bring their innovative ideas to fruition. In the end, students will present their work in a “pitch-like” presentation and may choose to prepare a business plan.

The Application Process

Application for the program will be similar to that of other Central Placement opportunities.

  • Student must be registered for Coop
  • Student can apply for Entrepreneurship Coop through their Coop teacher

On-going support is based on a collaborative effort between the Cooperative Education Teacher, the Cooperative Education Resource Teacher, Venture Development at Brock University and entrepreneurs in the Niagara region who have offered to mentor and provide learning opportunities for our students.
