Dr. Snežana ObradovićRatković is a research officeran instructor, and a scholar in the Faculty of Education. As a master’s student, she explored the influence of media on immigrant children’s values, self-concepts, and future aspirations. In her doctoral work, ObradovićRatković investigated professional identities of refugee women teachers from the former Yugoslavia who immigrated to Canada during or after the 19911995 war in the countryShe was the principal investigator on a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council funded study entitled “Supporting Refugee Students in Canada: Building on What We Have Learned in the Past 20 Years.” Her current research includes virtual arts education, mindful academic writing, generous scholarship, and well-being in graduate education.
