Concurrent Teacher Education Second Year Entry

Primary / Junior Concurrent Teacher Education Programs (Grades K-6)*

SECOND YEAR ENTRY TO THE PRIMARY/JUNIOR CONCURRENT TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAM:

Students may apply and be admitted to second year if there is space available. To apply, students must have a minimum 70 percent overall average in Year 1; their Year 1 courses must replicate the 1st year of the Concurrent Program they are applying to; the secondary school English and Mathematics program admission requirements must be met. Applications open on April 1. The deadline for applications is June 1. Late applications will not be accepted. Students should note that these are limited enrollment programs and admission is not guaranteed by attainment of the minimum requirements.

Note: The Department of Educational Studies reserves the right to assign concurrent education students in their final two years, to either the Burlington or St. Catharines campus in order to secure school placements aligned with teachable subjects. Students are responsible for their own transportation for practice teaching and other activities related to the program. Learn more about the Burlington campus.

Note: Graduates from these Primary/Junior programs are required to have completed Grade 12U/M, or university courses in Canadian Geography and Canadian History (or similar courses that emphasize Canadian content), Mathematics, Science and English. These courses are EXIT requirements from the concurrent program not entry requirements.

Junior/Intermediate Concurrent Teacher Education Programs (Grades 4-10, Emphasis 4-8)*

SECOND YEAR ENTRY TO JUNIOR/INTERMEDIATE CONCURRENT TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAMS:
