Advanced Wine Faults

A bootcamp-style pre-harvest session dedicated to wine fault knowledge and identification skills. This half-day workshop will provide extensive sensory exercises and in-depth discussion of the identification, prevention, and amelioration of wine faults.

Get your sniffer into peak condition heading into the harvest season with this exclusive bootcamp-style review of wine faults from a production point of view. Intensive tasting sessions will focus on identifying faults and exploring how they manifest differently at different points in the production process, at different concentrations, and in different wine styles. The goal of this workshop is to help wine producers identify faults quicker and more confidently and promote timely and effective corrections in the cellar. This workshop will be highly interactive with a large number of intensive tastings coupled with practical discussions about avoiding or fixing wine faults.

This session includes a working lunch, followed by an afternoon of discussions and interactive tasting exercises. Registration is limited to the first 25 interested winemakers or harvest interns to ensure the best possible workshop experience.
