Making the assumption that older students are bigger than younger studenter we came
up with the following results: From the data that we received, we found that the older students would make better use of their time using the ladder and the pole because it takes them a shorter amount of time. We also found that the younger students would make better use of their time by using the slide because it takes them a shorter amount of time. While working on this activity, we also noticed that math is everywhere, even in our playground equipment. For example, the monkey bars are in parallel lines, and people swinging on the swings at different height creates different angles. We had a lot of fun, taking pictures and noticing math in our surroundings. We hope you will join us in creating your own math trail on your school grounds, or at a popular area in your town.
