January 4 – January 31: Cuvée Click it for Tickets Contest
During the contest period, people will photograph the wines they think are the winemakers favourites and post them to social media with the hashtag #Cuvee2019 for a chance to win two tickets to the Cuvée Grand Tasting. January 5 – February 1: Online WSET Level 1 in WINES
This course is for the beginner – for those starting a wine career or wishing to explore wine for personal interest.
The course is based around a 4 week, 7 module online learning format with educator support available for this time. The course modules should be followed in order, but students are free to complete the modules at their own pace during this 4-week window. The course material should take about 6 hours in total to complete, plus revision time.

January 5- February 1: Online – WSET Level 1 in SPIRITS
This course is for the beginner – for those starting a career in the spirits industry or wishing to explore spirits for personal interest.

Running three consecutive weekends in January (11-13, 18-21, 25-27)

January 14 – March 18: CCOVI Lecture Series

January 14 – March 18: OEVI 0N02 – Wines of Ontario
This is a special interest course focused on the wines of Ontario: how they are grown and made. Become familiar with VQA wines and the viticultural areas in which they are grown.

January 15 – April 30: OEVI 0N07 – WSET Level 3 Award in Wines
This course is intended to provide in-depth knowledge of a wide range of wines from around the world and is open to students who hold the WSET Level 2 Award or can demonstrate knowledge acquired at the Level 2 award level through completion of an entrance test and sufficient experience in the wine industry.
This qualification is also suitable for the wine enthusiast wishing to build on knowledge gained at Level 2.

January 16 – April 10: OEVI 0N03 – Wine Regions of the World
This is a special interest course designed to deepen and refine your wine tasting skills as you explore the major wine regions of the world. Discover wines from historic Old World regions as well as the emerging New World wine regions including South Africa and New Zealand.

January 26 – March 1: Online – WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits
This course provides fundamental product knowledge and lays the foundation for the Systematic Approach to Tasting.  The Level 2 Award is ideal for those entering a profession in the wine and spirit industry, as well as for the enthusiast who wishes to broaden their knowledge in a structured way.
This course is based around a five week structured program of study that includes six hours of study per week. However the course has no fixed study times.  This course utilizes on-line resources to allow students to study alongside their peers under the guidance of a WSET tutor. Each week sonsists of a series of online activities often based around group discussion, with an online tutor allocated to guide the students through their studies.  A timed feedback test is provided at the end of each week for students to practice for the exam and assess their understanding of the program.  Group tasting activities are also provided to familiarise students with the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting.
