It is my pleasure to be the Chair of the Curricular Sub-Committee for the Canada Games. Having the Canada Games in Niagara provides faculty, staff and students with an exciting opportunity to be part of a large national multi sport event that is important to the athletes and to our community.

MADELYN LAW
Chair, Curricular Subcommittee
As a committee we endeavor to generate ideas and support curricular initiatives that are linked to the Canada Games. It is our hope that students will be able to get a taste of the Games and develop knowledge and skills through their courses while also getting excited about being able to support the games with ideas, getting involved or attending the event.
As a committee we will promote how to engage students directly (with the Games staff) or indirectly (with a Community Partner) through experiential education components in courses. We will also help to support faculty in their efforts to incorporate Games related content in to existing courses. There are many facets of the Games from tourism, community development, event management to environmental responsibility, public safety and community ceremonies. There is something that can be gleaned for all students through Brock’s engagement in the Canada Games and our goal is to make that a reality through academic courses at Brock.
Purpose
The purpose of this committee to identify, support and track Brock’s development and implementation of Games content and activities in academic courses.
