Competitive training groups & fees

Structured and grouped by age and experience, swimmers in full-year training squads work toward improving their fitness and skills with regular training practices. It is a requirement that all swimmers in the program will be registered with Swim Ontario at an additional cost of $160-$200 per person per year, dependent on age.

Designed for young swimmers born in 2013 or younger with some competitive experience from Olympic Way, a summer swim team, or other similar program. Swimmers practice 4x/week and attend competitions approximately once per month. Program focus is on developing good skill basics. Cost is $1800 for the year, with payable at registration and the remainder payable in three instalments.

Designed primarily for swimmers born in 2011 or 2012 with a background in competitive swimming. Skill development remains a focus, while training skills are now increased. Cost is $2000 for the year, with payable at registration and the remainder payable in three instalments.

For experienced competitive swimmers born 2009-2010 who have learned good basic skills and are prepared to consistently attend five or more practices per week. Skill development remains a focus, while training skills are further increased. Cost is $2200 for the year + Brock sports performance’s Athlete performance program  $100 per month , with payable at registration and the remainder payable in three instalments.

The Brock Niagara Aquatics ‘Senior’ program is a year-round competitive group for swimmers born in 2008 and older who wish to continue participating in competitive swimming but may also have extra-curricular interests away from the pool. ‘Senior’ will offer 6 practices per week, participation in the Brock Sports Performance APP program is optional but encouraged as a great way to learn and develop proper dryland fundamentals. The cost is $2200 for the year, payable at registration and the remainder in three installments.

For invited swimmers who possess a strong background in the sport and have shown previous commitment to training. Emphasis is placed on skill development and training skills. The majority of the swimmers will be competing at the provincial or national level. Cost is $2500 for the year + Brock sports performance’ Athlete performance program $200 per month, with payable at registration and the remainder payable in three instalments.

➔ Plus 2-3 BSP sessions per week

Starting this Fall we will offer 3 sections of Masters programming on a Monday-Wednesday-
Friday basis. Morning Masters for our early risers who like to start their day off with a workout.
Mid-day Masters for those who want to use their lunch time for a swim. Evening Masters that
has been the traditional Masters time for the Brock community.

Morning Masters – M/W/F 6:30-8AM
Mid-Day Masters – M/W/F 11:30-1PM
Evening Masters – M/W/F M/W 7-8:30, F 6-7:30

Cost: $350 per 10 week session

Swim Ontario registration fee

Competitive-team members are required to pay an annual registration fee to Swim Ontario/Swimming Canada. This fee is age-dependent and will be invoiced with the swimmer’s first instalment. With this registration, team members are allowed the privilege of training or competing at sanctioned competitions anywhere in the world.

Competition costs

Competition fees are in addition to training fees; these will include entry fees payable to the host club. Other fees may include, where offered, competition travel/accommodation costs incurred and paid by the club on behalf of the swimmer and Coaches. A coaching fee is charged per meet which covers the expenses of the coaches, this fee varies according to the amount of expenses. Competition costs are outlined in the meet announcements.

Multiple-child discount

Applicable to full-season groups only, training fees are discounted by 10% on lowest fee for the second child in a family; 20% on lowest fee for third child in a family; etc. Discount is applied at final instalment payment.

Trial period

Swimmers new to the competitive team, joining a full-year group for the first time, are given a two-week trial period at the start of the season before any financial commitment is required; i.e., membership fees will be billed after the trial period is over.
