Niagara community organizations and Brock students interested in volunteerism will have a unique opportunity to learn and connect at an information and networking event taking place on campus next week.<\/p>\n
Connecting Our Communities will feature an information session and networking opportunities, with a focus on promoting volunteer roles, addressing barriers to student involvement and leveraging Brock\u2019s existing programs like Brock Cares.<\/p>\n
\u201cConnecting with the community through volunteerism and outreach is a vital part of the Brock experience,\u201d said Jenna Moorhead, Community Experience Co-ordinator. \u201cThis event will help strengthen those relationships and provide organizations with valuable strategies for engaging student volunteers.\u201d<\/p>\n
Attendees will also gain insight into shifting volunteer trends as highlighted in the 2023 Living in Niagara Report<\/a><\/em>, explore best practices for engaging and supporting student volunteers, hear from students about their volunteer experiences, and take part in discussions on creating meaningful opportunities.<\/p>\n The event takes place Wednesday, March 12 from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Rankin Family Pavilion.
