{"id":9973,"date":"2011-05-18T14:11:59","date_gmt":"2011-05-18T19:11:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=9973"},"modified":"2011-05-18T14:13:51","modified_gmt":"2011-05-18T19:13:51","slug":"applied-linguistics-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2011\/05\/applied-linguistics-19\/","title":{"rendered":"Applied Linguistics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>David Hayes <\/strong>was in Hanoi, Vietnam, from April 11 to 27 at the invitation of the Vietnamese National Institute for Educational Sciences where he co-ordinated the development of a new national curriculum for the teaching of English in lower secondary schools.
