{"id":98340,"date":"2025-01-08T13:34:44","date_gmt":"2025-01-08T18:34:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=98340"},"modified":"2025-07-10T14:03:18","modified_gmt":"2025-07-10T18:03:18","slug":"global-stanford-researcher-ranking-lists-dozens-of-brock-scholars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2025\/01\/global-stanford-researcher-ranking-lists-dozens-of-brock-scholars\/","title":{"rendered":"Dozens of Brock scholars listed on global researcher ranking"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Stanford University has <a href=\"https:\/\/elsevier.digitalcommonsdata.com\/datasets\/btchxktzyw\/7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">updated<\/a> its list of the world\u2019s top two per cent of scientists with the most citations \u2014 and Brock University is holding its own.<\/p>\n<p>Released late last summer, the 2024 update contains two tables: one listing a database of citations <a href=\"https:\/\/elsevier.digitalcommonsdata.com\/datasets\/btchxktzyw\/7\/files\/18cf2613-948f-4c56-8304-140b07913758\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">over the course of a career<\/a> and another one listing researchers for <a href=\"https:\/\/elsevier.digitalcommonsdata.com\/datasets\/btchxktzyw\/7\/files\/5c0c334e-53d9-421b-b344-3ced6fc8d857\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the most citations in 2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Citations, which appear in academic papers, are references made to earlier research.
