Applications are now open for five prominent awards honouring excellence, leadership and collaboration within Brock’s graduate studies community.<\/p>\n
Administered by Brock\u2019s Faculty of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (FGPSA), the awards amount to almost $30,000 and will provide financial support for graduate students as well as faculty members and staff who play crucial roles as mentors in the University\u2019s graduate community.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese awards are a testament to the incredible achievements within our graduate community,\u201d says Suzanne Curtin, Vice-Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs. \u201cBy recognizing and celebrating the dedication, collaboration and innovation of our students and graduate leaders, we not only honour their hard work but also inspire others to reach for excellence in their academic pursuits.\u201d<\/p>\n
Applications and nominations<\/a> for the five awards are due throughout the Winter Term.<\/p>\n Nominations for the Jack M. Miller Excellence in Research Award and applications for the Women in STEM Graduate Leadership Award are due by 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31.\u00a0 The remaining award nominations and applications are due on Friday, Feb. 28.<\/p>\n Four of the FGSPA awards will be announced and presented at the\u00a0Mapping the New Knowledges Graduate Student Conference<\/a>\u00a0on Wednesday, April 9, while the Women in STEM award is expected to be announced in March to mark International Women\u2019s Day, which takes place Saturday, March 8.<\/p>\n The awards include:<\/p>\n Jack M.
