The Celebrating Research Excellence returns next month to highlight the accomplishments of Brock’s research community since 2020.<\/p>\n
Taking place Thursday, Nov. 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. in Pond Inlet, the event will celebrate successes such as awards, the receipt of external research grants, and other external recognitions.<\/p>\n
Acting Vice-President, Research Michelle McGinn says there are many examples of innovative, creative Brock research that has changed lives in Niagara, across Canada and around the world.<\/p>\n
\u201cToo often, in the busy rush of the research process, the research community may lose sight of the impacts and deeper meaning of our work,\u201d she says. \u201cOur research celebration is a time to reflect on how far we\u2019ve come and to formally recognize those whose contributions have made the journey so fruitful.\u201d<\/p>\n
McGinn is scheduled to address the gathering along with President and Vice-Chancellor Lesley Rigg and other research leaders from the Faculties and Brock University Library.<\/p>\n
\u201cApplying for grants and awards can be a challenging, stressful process,\u201d says McGinn. \u201cI commend our researchers and their colleagues for their efforts and celebrate their considerable achievements.\u201d<\/p>\n
Research Impact Manager Jayne Morrish says the event is an opportunity for Brock\u2019s research community to connect and celebrate together.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith so much momentum built over the past few years, the event also supports new collaborations and meaningful connections that can strengthen future research efforts,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n
Food and beverages, including a cash bar, will be available at Celebrating Research Excellence.<\/p>\n
