Teams of Brock faculty and staff will match wits next month during the return of the United Way Campaign Trivia Night fundraiser.<\/p>\n
The University\u2019s 2024 employee workplace fundraising campaign<\/a> aims to raise $162,000 for more than 150 life-changing United Way Niagara funded programs and initiatives addressing poverty, food insecurity, homelessness, mental illness, addiction, gender-based violence and other community issues.<\/p>\n Trivia Night\u00a0\u2014\u00a0which is open to Brock employees, students, alumni, retirees and their guests\u00a0\u2014\u00a0takes place on campus at Isaac\u2019s on Friday, Nov. 15, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the event beginning at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n In addition to 10 rounds of questions covering a range of topics, including pop culture, sports and politics, the evening will also feature a pizza dinner, a cash bar and door prizes.<\/p>\n Tickets are $40 each and can be purchased on University Tickets<\/a> until Sunday, Nov. 10. While team registration in groups of eight is recommended, individual registration is also accepted.\u00a0Proceeds from the event will go towards the United Way campaign.<\/p>\n The much-loved Trivia Night is one of two signature events for this year\u2019s campaign, with the Souper Star fundraiser already having taken place on Thursday, Oct. 24.<\/p>\n Approximately 100 faculty and staff gathered over lunch in support of the local not-for-profit organization, with 100 per cent of ticket sales going to the campaign thanks to generous in-kind sponsorship from Brock\u2019s Dining Services partner Aramark Canada.
