The Brock Information Technology Services (ITS) team is strengthening the University\u2019s multi-factor authentication (MFA) defences to better protect users and University infrastructure amidst rising cybercrime rates.<\/p>\n
To ensure that all faculty, staff and students are safeguarded whenever they access any Brock accounts, applications or systems, ITS will be expanding the implementation of MFA at the University. As a result, users may notice MFA is required on applications that did not previously request it.<\/p>\n
As well as using MFA wherever possible<\/a>, Brock users are also reminded to explore the recently launched BrockU Cyber Aware<\/a> platform to access training and resources that will help them protect themselves online.<\/p>\n To celebrate the new platform and Cyber Security Awareness Month, ITS is hosting a contest throughout October. The BrockU Cyber Aware users who have the lowest risk score and have been active on the platform before 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27 will be entered into a draw to win a prize.<\/p>\n
