The anticipation is building, and the stage is nearly set.<\/p>\n
Preparations are well underway to shine the spotlight on Brock\u2019s soon-to-be newest graduates, celebrating their accomplishments during the University\u2019s 116th Convocation<\/a> on Friday, Oct. 18.<\/p>\n About 1,000 Brock Badgers will cross the stage to receive their degrees during the one-day celebration, which includes ceremonies at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. in the Ian Beddis Gymnasium.<\/p>\n All ceremonies will be livestreamed at\u00a0brocku.ca\/livestream<\/a><\/p>\n Guest arrival Post-Convocation celebrations Class of 2024 graduates are also encouraged to\u00a0update their contact information<\/a>\u00a0with Brock University Alumni Relations.<\/p>\n A celebration for Brock\u2019s master\u2019s and PhD graduates and their guests will also be held Friday on the upper level of the Rankin Family Pavilion.<\/p>\n The Grad\u00b2 Reception area \u2014 available after both the morning and afternoon ceremonies\u00a0\u2014 will include photo opportunities, sweet treats and the chance to mingle with fellow graduates, faculty and staff.<\/p>\n Online celebration toolkit The toolkit also includes a map of the University\u2019s photo trail, which highlights some of the most iconic and scenic spots on campus, such as the Maj.-Gen. Sir Isaac Brock statue, Pond Inlet and Alumni Field. Grads are encouraged to share their photos on social media with the hashtag #BrockUGrad so the University can celebrate with them.<\/p>\n Campus Store Parking Convocation guests and participants are reminded that signs, flags, large bags and other large items are not permitted at the ceremonies.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Tickets will not be required to attend, but there is a two-guest limit per graduand and all guests will be required to check in prior to entering the ceremony. Guests are encouraged to have the name and student identification number of the graduand they\u2019re celebrating present at check-in. All graduates and guests are asked to enter through the main doors of the Walker Complex.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Following each ceremony, graduates and their loved ones are invited to the Alumni Celebration in Rankin Family Pavilion to explore photo opportunities and enjoy light refreshments and live music.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Brock graduands have the chance to mark this milestone moment in their lives using the University\u2019s\u00a0online celebration toolkit<\/a>, which includes Convocation-themed cover photos, wallpapers, Instagram filters and Giphy stickers to help grads share their accomplishments on social media.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>The\u00a0Brock Campus Store<\/a>\u00a0will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, with an additional pop-up store in the Walker Sports Complex offering a variety of University gear as well as degree frames from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Complimentary diploma framing is available with the purchase of a degree frame, with the option to preorder online at the\u00a0Brock Campus Store<\/a>\u00a0or on site at the Campus Store pop-up.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Complimentary parking will be available for Fall Convocation.\u00a0Please follow the directional signage to Lot B and Lot D. If these lots are full, overflow parking will be available in Lots 1 and 3. Accessible parking is also available in Lot P.<\/p>\n
