{"id":95904,"date":"2024-09-24T12:10:04","date_gmt":"2024-09-24T16:10:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=95904"},"modified":"2024-09-27T12:41:25","modified_gmt":"2024-09-27T16:41:25","slug":"master-of-sustainability-program-celebrates-10th-anniversary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2024\/09\/master-of-sustainability-program-celebrates-10th-anniversary\/","title":{"rendered":"Master of Sustainability program celebrates 10 years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brock&#8217;s Homecoming weekend, which took place from Sept. 20 to 22, was a little sweeter this year for graduates of the University&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/esrc\/ssas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Master of Sustainability program<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to celebrating Brock&#8217;s 60th anniversary, grads also joined Environmental Sustainability Research Centre (ESRC) faculty members and staff to commemorate the program&#8217;s 10th anniversary with a Badger Brunch, taking the opportunity to reflect on the program&#8217;s growth and the impact its alumni are making in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Brodie Hague (BA \u201914, BEd \u201914, MS \u201916), who was <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/esrc\/2017\/11\/09\/life-after-the-sustainability-science-and-society-graduate-program-with-brodie-hague\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">among the first cohort of students to enter the Master of Sustainability program<\/a>, was honoured with the <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2024\/09\/celebrating-brocks-distinguished-alumni-award-recipients\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2024 David S. Betzner Award<\/a>\u00a0during Brock&#8217;s Homecoming celebrations. A tireless supporter of Brock and committed educator, Hague\u2019s career began on Brock\u2019s campus as a teaching assistant.
