About 400 Brock students and alumni came together to show why the University\u2019s annual Homecoming Grape Stomp is one of the most-anticipated events on any Badgers\u2019 bucket list.<\/p>\n
Brock\u2019s messiest tradition returned to Jubilee Court on Friday, Sept. 20, with participants diving into two metric tonnes \u2014 about 80 bushels \u2014 of Concord grapes.<\/p>\n
White shirts were transformed to purple in a flash as fruit flew through the air and daring stompers slid through the resulting puree.<\/p>\n
Part of both Brock\u2019s\u00a0Homecoming weekend<\/a> and the University\u2019s\u00a060th anniversary celebrations<\/a>, which kicked off this month, Grape Stomp has been called one of the best university traditions in Canada by\u00a0University Affairs<\/em>\u00a0magazine.<\/p>\n While the spotlight was on the sticky fun, the day also included live music from Avenue Inn, featuring Brock alumni, and a free barbecue sponsored by Aramark.<\/p>\n Brock\u2019s Homecoming and anniversary festivities continue this weekend with Friday\u2019s\u00a0Steel Blade Classic hockey game<\/a>\u00a0and Saturday\u2019s\u00a0Skyline Celebration<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\t
