Michael Armstrong<\/strong>, associate professor of Business, wrote the article “When a $69 flight actually costs you $113, it’s time to intervene”<\/a> that appeared in the Toronto Star<\/em> on April 6.<\/p>\n

Dennis Soron<\/strong>, associate professor of Sociology, was quoted in the article “Brock serves up food for thought”<\/a> in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em> on April 7. The article was about the last event in the Sociology department’s speaker series.<\/p>\n

Teju Herath<\/strong>, assistant professor of Information Systems, was quoted in the article “The four traits that make you vulnerable to phishing attacks”<\/a> in the Toronto Star<\/em> on April 8. News of the research also appeared on websites such as redOrbit<\/a>, Consumer Reports<\/a> and PCWorld<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Derek Knight<\/strong>, director of the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts, and David Fancy<\/strong>, Dramatic Arts chair, were quoted in the article “Brock students go the distance for community”<\/a> in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em> on April 11. The article about the Both Sides of the Heart run<\/a>.<\/p>\n

David Fancy<\/strong> also appeared in the April 12 article “Play examines three sex-addicted ‘outsiders’ and their intertwined lives”<\/a> in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em>. The article is about a play Fancy wrote entitled That Woman: A Sex Play?<\/em><\/p>\n

Michelle Webber<\/strong>, associate professor of Sociology, was quoted in the United Arab Emirats site The National<\/em> in “Women at odds with men over workplace bullying”<\/a> on April 12.<\/p>\n

Stephen Cheung<\/strong>, professor of Kinesiology, and his research team at the Environmental Ergonomics lab were featured in the article “Mark’s tests clothing claims”<\/a> in the Toronto Star<\/em> on April 13.<\/p>\n

Steven Pillar<\/strong>, Vice-President Finance and Administration, was quoted in the article “Brock to host wheelchair championships”<\/a> in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em> on April 13. In the article, Pillar discusses Brock hosting the world under-25 wheelchair basketball championship.<\/p>\n

Nick Baxter-Moore<\/strong>, professor in Communication, Popular Culture and Film, was quoted in the article “Charlie Sheen show comes to Toronto and no one knows what to expect”<\/a> on April 14. The article originated with Canadian Press<\/em> and was published across the country, including CTV and the CBC.<\/p>\n

David Siegel<\/strong>, professor of Political Science, wrote the article “Citizens’ input needed now on downtown future,”<\/a> which appeared in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em> on April 15.<\/p>\n

Charles Burton<\/strong>, associate professor of Political Science, co-authored the opinion piece “Promoting pluralism abroad must be a foreign policy pillar”<\/a> in the Globe and Mail<\/em> on April 13. Also, an interview with him entitled “A Majority Government Will Benefit Canada’s China Policy Formulation”<\/a> appeared in the Toronto and Vancouver editions of the Ming Pao<\/em> on April 17.<\/p>\n

Philip Kitchen<\/strong>, Dean of Business, appeared in the article “Specialized MBAs in demand” in the Toronto Sun<\/em> on April 17. He also appeared on Breakfast Television<\/em> on April 7 to discuss luxury branding.<\/p>\n

David DiBattista<\/strong>, Psychology professor, is quoted in the article “Maximizing the monster class”<\/a> in the Toronto Star<\/em> on April 18. In the article, he discusses his new way to design multiple-choice tests so students apply learned concepts and “not just\u2026some fact they memorized at 3 a.m.”<\/p>\n
