The Market Eatery will look a bit different when its doors reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 3 for the start of the Fall Term.<\/p>\n
Brock Dining Services has taken student, staff and faculty feedback into consideration and implemented several changes over the summer to enhance customer experience.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough both our ‘Happy or Not’ kiosks and the Ancillary Services survey launched this past spring, we know that diners are looking for variety, quality and value,\u201d says Malcolm Dales, Director of Conference and Dining Services. \u201cThis refresh of the Market space introduces new concepts and menu options to address those needs.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chop N\u2019 Top, the Market Eatery\u2019s salad bar station, is being replaced by Footlong, a sub concept offering signature subs that can be customized or made into salads.<\/p>\n
Homestyle Kitchen has been rebranded Hot Express and is now the new home of the Market Eatery\u2019s pizza selection. The station will continue to offer homestyle meals and comfort food in a convenient grab-and-go format.<\/p>\n
Grille Works and Red Kettle Soup will remain in their current locations, while El Torito will move from its previous spot at the back of Market to the space formerly occupied by Italian Cucina.<\/p>\n
Chopsticks, a new concept featuring stir-fry and Asian-inspired dishes, will open in El Torito\u2019s former home on Monday, Sept. 23.<\/p>\n
\u201cStir-fries are one of the most popular dishes in our Fresh Food Company Dining Halls,\u201d Dales says. \u201cCustomers have been asking for something similar in the Market Eatery, so we\u2019re excited to share the launch of Chopsticks with the Brock community.\u201d<\/p>\n
For diners on a budget, value options under $8 will now be offered at every station and identified with a red Badger Pick icon.<\/p>\n
