{"id":94774,"date":"2024-08-02T11:12:55","date_gmt":"2024-08-02T15:12:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=94774"},"modified":"2024-08-02T16:31:07","modified_gmt":"2024-08-02T20:31:07","slug":"brock-launches-new-business-admin-professional-certificate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2024\/08\/brock-launches-new-business-admin-professional-certificate\/","title":{"rendered":"Brock launches new Business Admin Professional Certificate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/learn\/certificates\/business-administration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Professional Certificate in Business Administration<\/a> offered by Brock University Professional and Continuing Studies (Brock PCS) is creating new opportunities for individuals seeking to strengthen their business skills.<\/p>\n<p>The professional certificate is the second to be offered by Brock PCS and the first to use micro-credentials as stackable components towards earning the qualification.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis certification was designed to help working professionals who may not have a business background obtain the skills required to manage a business or team,\u201d says Barb Mercer, Associate Director, Brock Professional and Continuing Studies Programming.<\/p>\n<p>Mercer says the program\u2019s components are modular and that its flexible online learning schedules allow learners to accommodate their personal and professional commitments while building their skills.<\/p>\n<p>Learners must complete four required components and two elective components that are available as individual micro-credentials to obtain the professional certificate.<\/p>\n<p>The four required micro-credentials for obtaining the professional certificate are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/learn\/micro-credentials\/business-communications\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Business Communications<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/learn\/micro-credentials\/hr-management\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Human Resource Management<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/learn\/micro-credentials\/organizational-behaviour\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Organizational Behaviour<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/learn\/micro-credentials\/supervisory-management-skills\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Supervisory Management Skills<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Registration for the Fall Term is open. Those interested in pursuing the professional certificate can enrol in any one or more of the micro-credentials, which begin in October.<\/p>\n<p>An early-bird registration discount of 10 per cent is available by subscribing to the <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/newsletter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PCS newsletter<\/a> before Saturday, Aug. 17.
