Whether the goal is to do a job more effectively or to pursue a new career, adult learners now have more options than ever before to develop their skills through Brock University.<\/p>\n
Brock Professional and Continuing Studies (Brock PCS) has teamed up with learning provider ed2go to introduce expanded self-study and guided learning options to the University\u2019s programming catalogue.<\/p>\n
The partnership adds more than 110 short-term professional, refresher and personal-interest courses curated to help individuals build essential skills that are in demand in a variety of fields.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhile selecting our ed2go catalog, we wanted to make sure that the options would be useful to our learners. Not only did we select skills-based courses for career enhancement, but we also included material for the everyday learner,\u201d says Barb Mercer, Associate Director Programming for Brock PCS.<\/p>\n
The catalogue includes courses in arts and design, health and fitness, business, information technology, computer applications, language, writing and computer science.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are a wide variety of courses for individuals of varying abilities and skill levels,\u201d Mercer said. \u201cAll courses are delivered online, many with the option to be either self-guided or led by an instructor asynchronously.\u201d<\/p>\n
The ed2go courses mark the start of Brock PCS\u2019s on-demand learning programming. Many of the self-guided courses have continuous enrolment and allow learners to immediately begin their studies. Instructor-led learning will also have frequent and multiple intakes.<\/p>\n
