{"id":93411,"date":"2024-06-07T11:27:23","date_gmt":"2024-06-07T15:27:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=93411"},"modified":"2024-06-07T16:32:57","modified_gmt":"2024-06-07T20:32:57","slug":"asbestos-reassessment-to-take-place-throughout-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2024\/06\/asbestos-reassessment-to-take-place-throughout-june\/","title":{"rendered":"Asbestos reassessment to take place throughout June"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brock University is set to complete its annual asbestos reassessment this month.<\/p>\n<p>Annual reassessments assist Brock in keeping its asbestos management program up to date and is a requirement of Ontario\u2019s Occupational Health and Safety Act\u00a0.<\/p>\n<p>Brock\u2019s Health, Safety and Wellness team, accompanied by Consultants from Pinchin Ltd., will be conducting a room-by-room visual\u00a0inspection\u00a0of all\u00a0previously identified asbestos materials at the University\u2019s St.\u00a0Catharines campus from Tuesday, June 11 to Thursday, June 27.<\/p>\n<p>The inspection team will take proper precautions and controls in accordance with applicable legislation to eliminate any risk of exposure. In rare instances, they will also collect samples.<\/p>\n<p>Reassessments exclude the Marilyn I.
