{"id":93369,"date":"2024-06-06T14:24:28","date_gmt":"2024-06-06T18:24:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=93369"},"modified":"2024-06-07T08:46:35","modified_gmt":"2024-06-07T12:46:35","slug":"gallery-local-kids-get-a-taste-of-entrepreneurial-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2024\/06\/gallery-local-kids-get-a-taste-of-entrepreneurial-success\/","title":{"rendered":"GALLERY: Local kids get a taste of entrepreneurial success"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Teams of local Grade 4 students from Pine Grove, Stevensville and Garrison Road Public Schools put their business skills to the test at the Goodman\u00a0Lemonade event in Market Hall on June 6.<\/p>\n<p>Sponsored by FirstOntario Credit Union, the event welcomed 75 young entrepreneurs to campus to set up\u00a0lemonade\u00a0stands they designed and give their best sales pitches to attracted parched customers.<\/p>\n<p>With FirstOntario\u2019s support of the\u00a0Goodman\u00a0Lemonade\u00a0program, which has been teaching Niagara elementary students the basics of building a for-profit business since 2017, Brock helps students of all ages acquire financial literacy skills through the development of innovative, student-centred programming.
