Brock University\u2019s community partners provide students with valuable experience that gives them a competitive edge in the marketplace.<\/p>\n
To highlight the achievements and contributions of those who make these experiential opportunities possible, Co-op, Career and Experiential Education (CCEE), in partnership with the University’s Faculties, hosted Brock\u2019s annual Celebration and Recognition Event on Monday, April 15. Held at Pond Inlet, the event honoured students, employers and community partners.<\/p>\n
\u201cCelebrating the achievements of our partners in education is very important for us,\u201d says Melissa Beamer, CCEE\u2019s Manager of Student and Partner Engagement. \u201cWe could not run the successful programs we have without these individuals and organizations who are critical to our success in preparing students for the workforce.\u201d<\/p>\n
With nearly 200 guests in attendance, the event celebrated students who won this year\u2019s excellence in co-op and experiential education awards<\/a>\u00a0as well as outstanding community partner and faculty award recipients, including:<\/p>\n Also recognized for their work helping to build the capacity for work-integrated learning opportunities for Brock students were more than 40 recipients of the Outstanding Co-op Supervisor of the Term Recognition Award<\/a>, as well as Biological Sciences Professor Fiona Hunter, who received the Experiential Education Faculty Member of the Year.<\/p>\n For more information about the award recipients, visit the CCEE website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\t \n
