Brock’s nursing learning resource centre’s simulation lab took centre stage in the article “Fake patients aid real students”<\/a> in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em> on March 15. The article also appeared in the Welland Tribune<\/em>. Resource centre co-ordinator Elizabeth Horsley<\/strong> was quoted in the article.<\/p>\n

Deborah Zinni<\/strong>, Associate Dean of Business, appeared in the article “Details should be disclosed: expert”<\/a> about Niagara Health System severances. The article appeared in the Niagara Falls Review<\/em>, St. Catharines Standard<\/em> and Welland Tribune<\/em> on March 19.<\/p>\n

David Siegel<\/strong>, Political Science professor, was quoted in the article “Contempt finding won’t hurt Nicholson: prof”<\/a> in the Niagara Falls Review<\/em> and St. Catharines Standard<\/em> on March 22.<\/p>\n

John Kaethler<\/strong>, director of International Services and Programs Abroad, was quoted in the article “I don’t know why this happened to Japan”<\/a> in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em> on March 25. Several Japanese students at Brock were also quoted in the article.<\/p>\n

Antonia Mantonakis<\/strong>, assistant professor of Marketing, was quoted in “30-Second Spots: Dispatches from the world of advertising”<\/a> in the Globe and Mail <\/em>on March 25. Mantonakis discovered that leaving a pause between a tagline and a brand name in an ad can enhance brand recognition and preference.<\/p>\n

Brock’s Faculty of Business was at the centre of an article “Many benefits to hiring a co-op student”<\/a>, which appeared across the canada.com network. It also appeared in several newspapers, including the Ottawa Citizen<\/em>, Montreal Gazette<\/em>, Regina Leader-Post<\/em> and the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix<\/em>.<\/p>\n

John Menzies<\/strong>, Earth Sciences professor, was quoted in the article “Protect glacier-age landmark: Local politicians”<\/a> in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em> on March 29. In the article, Menzies comments on the Fonthill Kame.<\/p>\n

Garth Stevenson<\/strong>, Political Science professor, appeared in the article “Is coalition bogeyman of federal election?”<\/a> in the Niagara Falls Review<\/em> on March 29. He was also quoted in the article “Talk of coalition dominates early days of campaign”<\/a> and “Election shouldn’t undermine economic recovery: prof”<\/a> in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em> on March 30. Stevenson also appeared on CKTB<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Livianna Tussutti<\/strong>, Political Science associate professor, appeared in the article “Education key to increasing voter turnout: Brock prof”<\/a> in the Niagara Falls Review<\/em> on March 30.<\/p>\n

President Jack Lightstone<\/strong> appeared in the article “Ontario invests in education”<\/a> in the Niagara Falls Review<\/em> on March 30. He also appeared in the article “Place matters, says university president”<\/a> in the Welland Tribune<\/em> that day.<\/p>\n

Stephen Cheung<\/strong>, professor of Physical Education and Kinesiology, and members of his research team were quoted in the article “Brock’s cool fashion experiment”<\/a> in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em> on March 30.<\/p>\n

Doug Hagar<\/strong>, research assistant with the Niagara Community Observatory, was quoted in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em> and Welland Tribune<\/em> article “Can Facebook win candidates’ votes?”<\/a> on March 31, as well as “An election in 140 characters”<\/a> in the Hamilton Spectator on April 2.<\/p>\n

President Jack Lightstone<\/strong> published an editorial entitled “Design regional economic development agency to make Niagara ‘community of innovation'”<\/a> in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em>, and also as “Community of innovation”<\/a> in Niagara This Week<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Kevin Gosine<\/strong>, Sociology assistant professor, was quoted in the article “Board continues to accept applications for DSBN Academy”<\/a> in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em> on April 1. The article is about Gosine’s Pathways to Education research.<\/p>\n

A speaker at Brock’s Thinking About Animals conference appeared in the article “Big black dog blues<\/a>” in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em>, Niagara Falls Review<\/em> and Welland Tribune.<\/em> News of the conference was also on CKTB<\/em> and CHCH<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Ernest Biktimirov<\/strong>, associate professor of Finance, was quoted in the article “Does your investment adviser put you first?”<\/a> in the Globe and Mail<\/em> on April 1.<\/p>\n
