{"id":91646,"date":"2024-03-19T13:50:21","date_gmt":"2024-03-19T17:50:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=91646"},"modified":"2024-03-19T17:44:14","modified_gmt":"2024-03-19T21:44:14","slug":"goodman-prof-to-discuss-international-marketing-communication-strategies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2024\/03\/goodman-prof-to-discuss-international-marketing-communication-strategies\/","title":{"rendered":"Goodman prof to discuss international marketing communication strategies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Magnus Hultman, Professor of Marketing and International Business at the Goodman School of Business, will explore the effectiveness of different international marketing strategies at the next <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/goodman\/\">Goodman<\/a> Luncheon Speaker Series event on Friday, March 22.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/goodman\/faculty-research\/faculty-directory\/magnus-hultman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hultman<\/a> will focus on the debate between communication standardization versus adaptation.\u00a0His presentation will be based on his recent findings, presenting insight from four of his academic articles.<\/p>\n<p>A Departmental Researcher of the Year Award recipient, Hultman\u2019s research revolves around international marketing issues, strategy, branding and decision-making. His work has been published in numerous leading international business and marketing journals such as <em>Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of International Marketing, Annals of Tourism Research<\/em> and <em>Tourism Management<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>As Brock\u2019s International Partnership of Business Schools Research Scholar, Hultman\u2019s achievements have been acknowledged through various awards over the course of his career, including the S. Tamer Cavusgil Award for the most significant contribution to the advancement of the practice of international marketing management.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, he serves as Associate Editor of the <em>International Marketing Review<\/em> and sits on the Editorial Board for <em>Journal of International Marketing<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/goodman\/faculty-research\/luncheon-speaker-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Luncheon Speaker Series<\/a> provides Goodman faculty, staff and students with an informal opportunity to discuss recent advances in research, teaching and practices with business colleagues.
