Brock student filmmakers will have three days to write, shoot and edit a cinematic masterpiece for this year\u2019s 72-Hour Film Festival, hosted by the Department of Communication, Popular Culture and Film\u2019s Student Society (CPCFSS).<\/p>\n
Working in crews of two to five people, students who register will receive instructions \u2014\u00a0 along with themes, prompts and challenges for items to include such as props or lines of dialogue \u2014 on the morning of Thursday, March 14. Completed short films must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 17 to be considered in the festival.<\/p>\n
All competing films will be screened during a gala event at the First Ontario Performing Arts Centre on Tuesday, March 19 at 7 p.m.<\/a> Tickets are $10 for general admission and $8 for Film House members.<\/p>\n Awards for first and second place, best line delivery and best use of a prop, as well as an Audience Choice Award, will be presented following the screenings. BrockTV and Fourgrounds Media Inc. are among the co-sponsors of these awards.<\/p>\n
