The Brock Library\u2019s Makerspace is helping students, faculty, staff and community members bring their creative dreams to life during March Break.<\/p>\n
Celebrating innovation and community artists, Brock Makerfest<\/a> will highlight new and digital technologies on Thursday, March 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Rankin Family Pavilion.<\/p>\n Makers from across Niagara will be selling their creations and answering questions about their work.<\/p>\n The Library\u2019s Makerspace will also have items on display and staff will be demonstrating technology, including 3D printers and laser cutters, to raise awareness about the services they provide.<\/p>\n \u201cFrom resin pouring to beautiful hand crocheted pieces of art and more, Makerfest is an opportunity to share our passions,\u201d says Makerspace Supervisor Derek Schneider. \u201cWe look forward to introducing the community to other technology and ideas not seen in our day-to-day lives or thought to be too expensive to create.\u201d<\/p>\n The event is free and open to the public.
