Research and results involving technological innovations can often be confined to laboratories or corporations. An upcoming session hosted by Brock University\u2019s Research Impact Learning Network aims to change that.<\/p>\n
During \u201cCommunity Innovation: Moving beyond traditional research boundaries for impact,\u201d guest speaker Cynthia Goh, Professor of Chemistry at the University of Toronto, will discuss ways researchers can integrate community within the innovation sphere, both by involving community in the research process and sharing results for application in community settings.<\/p>\n
Goh will draw on her experiences working with remote communities to share ways researchers can better understand communities\u2019 needs, abilities and use of technology to envision the potential local and global social impacts of their discoveries.<\/p>\n
All Brock faculty, staff and students are welcome to attend.<\/p>\n
