{"id":90822,"date":"2024-02-08T11:07:01","date_gmt":"2024-02-08T16:07:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=90822"},"modified":"2024-02-08T16:54:02","modified_gmt":"2024-02-08T21:54:02","slug":"brock-to-celebrate-random-acts-of-kindness-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2024\/02\/brock-to-celebrate-random-acts-of-kindness-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Brock to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Small acts of kindness will be making a big impact at Brock next week.<\/p>\n<p>Organized by the Student Life and Success team and partners across campus, Random Acts of Kindness Week, which is also recognized as <a href=\"https:\/\/sencanada.ca\/en\/sencaplus\/news\/senator-jim-munsons-kindness-week-becomes-law\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kindness Week in Canada<\/a>, takes place Monday, Feb. 12 to Friday, Feb. 16.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKindness can have a significant impact on our mental health and well-being, including reducing stress,\u201d says Jenna Moorhead, the University&#8217;s Community Experience Co-ordinator. \u201cSomething as small as a smile or holding the door for someone can have a ripple effect, encouraging others to pay it forward and make our communities kinder for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in a variety of activities throughout the week to experience kindness themselves and share it with others.
