Brock University students have the chance to showcase their talents outside of the classroom through an annual competition hosted by the Brock University Students\u2019 Union (BUSU).<\/p>\n

Auditions are now open for Brock\u2019s Got Talent, which will see students compete for a chance to win $1,000 in gift cards and a place in this year\u2019s Ontario\u2019s Got Talent finale in March.<\/p>\n

Students can submit their audition video and find competition details on the BUSU website<\/a>. Submissions close at 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26.<\/p>\n

Brock\u2019s Got Talent heats, hosted by the Brock University Students\u2019 Union, will be streamed via BrockTV\u2019s YouTube channel. Students can also watch their fellow Badgers compete live in person at Union Station on Tuesday, Jan. 30 and Thursday, Feb. 1.<\/p>\n

Last year, Brock Psychology student Amanada Ogunmekan finished in first not only in the BUSU competition, but also in the provincial finale event hosted by the Canadian Organization of Campus Activities.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe whole process was an amazing experience and I’m just so thankful for all the support from friends and family,\u201d said Ogunmekan. \u201cThe amount of work and dedication that went into making all this possible, who knows? I might be applying for Canada’s Got Talent.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ogunmekan and former finalists Avery Turner and Sienna Garda, will return to the Brock\u2019s Got Talent stage to perform during the Feb. 8 finale, along with special guest performer and judge Maeve, a 2023 Canada\u2019s Got Talent finalist.<\/p>\n

The finale will be free to attend, however registration is required. Registration will open on the BUSU website<\/a> closer to the Feb. 8 event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
