{"id":90035,"date":"2024-01-08T11:35:56","date_gmt":"2024-01-08T16:35:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=90035"},"modified":"2024-01-08T16:22:48","modified_gmt":"2024-01-08T21:22:48","slug":"registration-open-for-new-continuing-education-programs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2024\/01\/registration-open-for-new-continuing-education-programs\/","title":{"rendered":"Registration open for new continuing education programs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With the new year comes new goals, which Brock University\u2019s continuing education programs can help adult learners to achieve.<\/p>\n<p>Registration is now open for new and expanded training and learning opportunities being offered this year through Brock University Professional and Continuing Studies (Brock PCS).<\/p>\n<p>In addition to three returning courses that had their inaugural run this past fall, eight new courses are now accepting registrants.<\/p>\n<p>The new courses include a variety of learning opportunities built around strengthening workplace skills in demand in the market as well as Indigenous education programs <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2023\/10\/new-continuing-education-offerings-aim-to-deepen-understanding-of-indigenous-ways-of-knowing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced in October<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>New courses offered this winter and spring include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/learn\/courses\/ilw-becoming-leaders-good-kin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ILW: Becoming leaders who can be good kin<\/a> (Indigenous Education)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/learn\/courses\/indigenous-ways-knowing-being-doing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Indigenous Ways of Knowing, Being and Doing<\/a> (Indigenous Education)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/learn\/courses\/the-land\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Land<\/a> (Indigenous Education)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/learn\/courses\/intro-culture-interactions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Introduction to Culture and Intercultural Interactions<\/a> (EDI)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/learn\/courses\/recruiting-and-screening-candidates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Recruiting and Screening Candidates<\/a> (Human Resources)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/learn\/courses\/working-through-resistance-to-change\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Working Through Resistance to Change<\/a> (Human Resources)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/learn\/courses\/developing-change-resilience\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Developing Change Resilience<\/a> (Human Resources)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/learn\/courses\/inclusive-communication-for-sales-and-marketing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Inclusive Communication for Sales and Marketing<\/a> (Communications and Marketing)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Take advantage of early-bird pricing by using code EBSHOP10 at checkout for 10 per cent off.
