Members of the Brock community are invited to volunteer during an upcoming Pow Wow.<\/p>\n
Hosted by Brock\u2019s Hadiya’Dag\u00e9nhahs First Nations, M\u00e9tis and Inuit Student Centre, along with the Office of the Vice-Provost, Indigenous Engagement, the daylong event will take place Friday, Jan. 19 in Brock\u2019s Ian Beddis Gymnasium.<\/p>\n
While aiming to connect students, staff and faculty with the local Indigenous community and to share rich and diverse culture first-hand, the Pow Wow is seeking volunteers who wish to learning more about Indigenous culture and make a positive contribution towards truth and reconciliation.<\/p>\n
There will be a variety of different volunteer roles available, including greeting, wayfinding, food service, and assisting Elders and dancers.<\/p>\n
Volunteers from all backgrounds are welcome to attend, and training for all volunteers will be provided a week before the event. Additional information can be found on ExperienceBU<\/a>.<\/p>\n
