Brock\u2019s signature colour will flood the stands at the Meridian Centre Saturday, Nov. 25 for a basketball doubleheader<\/a> three years in the making.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s still time to purchase tickets for Paint the Meridian Red, which will see the Brock Badgers men\u2019s and women\u2019s basketball teams face off against the McMaster Marauders in downtown St. Catharines.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what you need to know leading up to the games:<\/p>\n

Tip-off times:
\n<\/strong>Doors for the event open at 5 p.m., with the tip-off for the women\u2019s game at 6 p.m., followed by the men\u2019s game at 8.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t put the bad in Badger
\n<\/strong>Brock University prides itself on being a good community neighbour. Paint the Meridian Red is an exciting event, but everyone attending the game is reminded to celebrate responsibly and make smart decisions. Any students arriving to the bus pickup locations or the Meridian Centre itself who are visibly intoxicated will be refused entry and no refunds for purchased tickets will be given. Drink responsibly, and stay hydrated and well-fed.<\/p>\n

Getting to the game
\n<\/strong>To make attending the event safe and convenient, Brock is providing free shuttle buses to the Meridian Centre from the University\u2019s main campus from 5 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. Buses will pick up passengers on campus at Quarry View, DeCew and Lowenberger residences.<\/p>\n

Brock identification will be required to ride the shuttle bus at any time.<\/p>\n

Tickets
\n<\/strong>Tickets can be purchased at\u00a0ticketmaster.ca<\/a> until the first tip-off at 6 p.m., and will then be available at the Meridian Centre box office.<\/p>\n

The Meridian Centre does not offer WI-FI. Ticket holders are encouraged to download their tickets onto their mobile device prior to entering the building. Screenshots of tickets will not be accepted.<\/p>\n

Club level tickets include light refreshments, while supplies last.<\/p>\n

Suites also remain available for purchase by contacting Erica Wortley, Manager, Events and Partnerships, at ewortley@brocku.ca<\/a><\/p>\n

Community zone
\n<\/strong>The concourse will include a community zone featuring the Niagara River Lions, Niagara IceDogs, Brock Badgers and Niagara Face Painting.<\/p>\n

What you can bring
\n<\/strong>Outside food and drinks are not permitted in the Meridian Centre, but empty, refillable water bottles are allowed. Bags smaller than 12\u201dx12\u201dx12\u201d will be allowed, while laser pointers, professional cameras, drones, weapons of any kind and any drugs or alcohol are forbidden.<\/p>\n

Security
\n<\/strong>Guests must pass through a magnometer, which requires the removal of keys, wallets, purses and anything metal that may set off the alarm.<\/p>\n

Badgers gear
\n<\/strong>For last-minute Badgers gear,\u00a0the Campus Store<\/a>\u00a0is open Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A 25 per cent off storewide promotion is underway for Black Friday from Nov. 24 to 26 in store and online (some exclusions apply).<\/p>\n

Parking
\n<\/strong>Please note that there is no parking at the Meridian Centre, so those planning to drive to the event are encouraged to park in one of the downtown parking garages.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
