{"id":88676,"date":"2023-10-16T11:17:54","date_gmt":"2023-10-16T15:17:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=88676"},"modified":"2023-10-16T17:18:20","modified_gmt":"2023-10-16T21:18:20","slug":"tickets-still-available-for-souper-star-fundraiser","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2023\/10\/tickets-still-available-for-souper-star-fundraiser\/","title":{"rendered":"Tickets still available for Souper Star fundraiser"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There\u2019s still time to purchase\u00a0tickets for the annual Souper Star event in support of Brock\u2019s United Way employee fundraising campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Taking place Thursday, Oct. 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Market Hall, the fundraiser invites faculty and staff to sample and vote on seven soups whipped up by Brock chefs and served by Faculty Deans, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Smoked chicken corn chowder<\/li>\n<li>Roasted cauliflower with crispy onion and blue cheese<\/li>\n<li>Southwest chicken and orzo<\/li>\n<li>Roasted fall squash with apple cider sour cream and maple bacon<\/li>\n<li>Caribbean coconut chickpea stew with spinner dumplings<\/li>\n<li>Portuguese sausage and bean<\/li>\n<li>Vegetable minestrone<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The winning Faculty will take home the coveted Souper Bowl trophy.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are $20 and can be\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.ca\/e\/souper-star-lunch-tickets-718711925717?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">purchased online<\/a>, with all proceeds from the fundraiser going to the United Way Campaign thanks to generous in-kind sponsorship from Brock\u2019s Dining Services partner Aramark Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Employees who\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.sharepoint.com\/sites\/United-Way\/SitePages\/Donate-to-United-Way.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">donate to Brock\u2019s United Way Campaign<\/a> online through Workday by 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 19 will automatically be entered into a draw to win a $100 Campus Store gift card.
