Brock professors will take centre stage on Wednesday to busk for Japan.<\/p>\n
Professors from various faculties will play for an hour and a half in Market Hall to raise money for the Canadian Red Cross<\/a>\u2019 Japan relief efforts. International Services and Programs Abroad<\/a> is spearheading the Brock campaign.<\/p>\n The schedule is as follows:<\/p>\n 12 noon to 12:30 \u2013 Irish folk music by the Biorhythms, a musical group of Biology professors A staff member has also pitched in to help the victims of the devastating earthquake and tsunami.<\/p>\n Jackie Bering, a fourth-year Visual Arts student and employee in Human Resources, has donated the painting Birds with Hats 3<\/em> to be auctioned for the cause.<\/p>\n The painting will be available for bidding on Wednesday and Thursday in Market Hall.<\/p>\n The minimum bid for the 8\u201d by 10\u201d painting will be $20. Bids will be kept hidden.<\/p>\n There are donations jars throughout the campus. There will also be a sale of origami, recipes and other Japanese items in Market Hall on March 24.<\/p>\n Donations will be accepted at the International Services and Programs Abroad office at GLN-B 210 in the International Centre.
